Rava Ladoo(Sweet balls made from semolina are a indian speciality made almost on all occasions.)
Ingredients:-
1 1/2 cup sooji/rava/semolina
2 tbsp ghee
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tsp of cardamom powder
Few saffron strands
Few raisins.
Method:-
1 1/2 cup sooji/rava/semolina
2 tbsp ghee
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tsp of cardamom powder

Method:-
- In a pan take butter & roast sooji till it changes color.
- Meanwhile in a saucepan take water & add sugar& saffron strands to it.
- Bring it to a boil.
- Once it comes to a boil add the sooji & mix.
- Close the lid & leave the mixture for about an hour.
- Then add the cardamom powder.
- Make round balls from the mixture.
- Put raisins on top.
Chivda(with rice krispies)(A snack made with rice krispies & a blend of nuts & spices.)
Ingredients:-
Rice Krispies cereal-1 packet
1/2 cup peanuts
Curry leaves 2-3 strands
broken cashew-1/4 cup
raisins-1/4 cup
green chillies-4-6
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilly powder or to taste
1 tsp cumin seeds/jeera
A pinch of hing/asafotida powder
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Method:-
Rice Krispies cereal-1 packet
1/2 cup peanuts
Curry leaves 2-3 strands
broken cashew-1/4 cup
raisins-1/4 cup
green chillies-4-6
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilly powder or to taste
1 tsp cumin seeds/jeera
A pinch of hing/asafotida powder
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Method:-
- In a big pan take oil, once hot add the cumin seeds & let them splutter. Then add the asafoetida powder.
- Next add the green chilies & curry leaves. Then add the peanuts, cashewnuts . Add the turmeric powder & red chilly powder.
- Then add some salt.
- Add the raisins. Roast the mixture for about 10 minutes. Then mix the rice krispes in it.
- Store in airtight container.
Shankarpali
Ingredients:-
1 cup ghee(tup)
1 cup water
1 1/2 cup sugar
All purpose flour/maida as needed
Salt a pinch
Sooji-2-3 tsp
Cardamom powder-1 pinch
Zaiphal powder-1 pinch
Oil for frying
Method:-
(1) In a heavy bottomed pan put ghee,water & sugar & heat it till the mixture comes to a boil.
(2)Take this mixture in a bowl & start adding maida & kneading the dough when hot. Add rava/sooji & cardamom & jaiphal powder too while mixing & kneading the mixture. Make it into a soft dough.
(3)Then start making medium balls of the dough & rolling them on a surface. Cut them into small diamond shapes.
(4)Heat oil/ghee in a kadai, once hot fry the shanker[alis till done.
